These revised subscales on interactions are a huge improvement over the old version—much clearer guidance for evaluating how caregivers actually engage with kids. My assessor immediately noticed the difference during our last observation.

Finally got the updated FCCERS-3 and the expanded guidance on space and furnishings makes it much easier to set up my home daycare room. The color-coded items and clearer examples save me so much time during self-evaluations now.

I was dreading having to redo my assessments for the new edition, but the updated wording is so much clearer than the last one. The revised indicators make it much easier to score a busy day in my home, and the examples really help me see where I'm losing points.
