My kids finally started talking about how they feel without me prompting them. The friendship game got them to really think about what it means to be a good friend, and the empathy card made them pause. It's nice to see them use what they learned at the dinner table.

My third graders actually argue over whose turn it is to play, which says everything. The discussion prompts about showing emotions and friendship get them talking about real stuff that happens on the playground, not just game moves.

The discussion prompts on empathy and managing emotions really got my two kids talking without me having to steer the conversation. It's a solid set for the grade range, though I wish the pieces were a bit sturdier since they get handled a lot.
