Maracas

Bought a pair for my nephew's third birthday and he figured out the shake-and-stop rhythm within minutes. The plastic feels solid enough to survive being banged on the floor, and the sound is warm rather than that cheap rattly noise I expected.

My toddler grabbed these the second they arrived and hasn't put them down since. The Latin-American sound is surprisingly authentic for plastic, and the non-toxic build gives me peace of mind during our kitchen dance parties.

The plastic feels solid and has no weird chemical smell, which matters when my kids inevitably chew on everything. Even after a week of enthusiastic shaking, the sound stays crisp and authentically Latin, not tinny like cheaper sets I've tried.
