My 3-year-old loves snapping these chunky beechwood blocks together to make trucks and cars. The matte finish is nice—no shiny paint chips to worry about, and they hold together well during play.

My 3-year-old can actually snap the chunky blocks together by herself, which is great for her dexterity. The 32 pieces give us enough to build a couple of vehicles at once, though I wish the set included a few more wheel pieces.

The matte finish on the beechwood blocks feels nice and they're sturdy enough for my 4-year-old, but the 32 pieces only make four vehicles, so he got bored once we built them all. The snapping mechanism is satisfying though, and I like that they’re not plasticky.
