In het Hoge Hoge Gras - Groot Boek

My preschoolers can't get enough of the rhythmic "crunch, munch" lines, and the big book size makes it easy for everyone to see the caterpillar illustrations during story time. The sturdy pages hold up well to eager little hands too.

The rhyme scheme is so clever—my kids love shouting "crunch, munch, caterpillars lunch!" along with me. It’s the perfect length for a bedtime story, and the big pages make the illustrations pop. We’ve read it every night this week and they’re still not tired of it.

The big book format is nice for reading to a group, and the rhyming text about the grass creatures kept the kids engaged for a bit. However, the illustrations felt a little dark to me, and 32 pages seemed short for the price. It's decent, but not a standout for our storytime rotation.
