I was pleasantly surprised how different each drum sounds—even though they’re all from the same set. The portable base makes them easy to move around the studio.

The 85-pound in-ground mount feels rock-solid once buried, and the 15" width gives each drum a surprisingly deep, tom-tom-like thump that carries nicely. I’ve got mine set at 30" height and it’s the most organic percussion sound I’ve coaxed from a yard piece yet.

The height adjustment is really solid, and I love how each drum has its own unique sound. The portable version is heavy at 125 lbs, but it's built like a tank.
