I bought these for my 4-year-old who struggles with naming feelings—the sadness book especially helped her explain why she cries sometimes. The descriptions are simple enough for her to understand, though I wish the fear book went a bit deeper.

My 5-year-old twins each picked a different emotion to focus on—the anger book really helped them talk through a tough tantrum phase. The text is simple enough that they can almost read it themselves. A little more variety in the scenarios would make it perfect.
