The wooden tiles have a nice weight to them, and my daughter loves sorting the happy face from the sad one. It’s a simple way to start a conversation about feelings that actually clicks with her.

My three-year-old actually asks to "play feelings" now—the wooden tiles are chunky enough for small hands, and the 12 emotions give us plenty to talk about at snack time. Matching the faces to the tiles has become our little ritual.

We’ve been using these tiles to help our 3-year-old name feelings during tantrums, and the smooth wooden finish makes them easy for her to hold. Having two tiles per emotion is great for matching games, and she’s already pointing out “happy” and “sad” on her own.
