My 3-year-old finally understands "heavy" and "light" after just one afternoon playing with this scale. The little sea creature weights are small enough for his hands but big enough not to be a choking hazard, and he loves sorting the fish.

The pieces are cute but the scale itself feels a bit flimsy for the price. My 4-year-old enjoys counting the fish, though figuring out balance takes some trial and error.
