The focus knob is large and easy for small hands to grip, which makes it simple to adjust without frustration. My son loves pointing it at birds in the backyard, and the image is surprisingly clear for a toy-like scope.

My four-year-old was able to figure out the simple twist-focus on her own, and the wide eyepiece makes it easy for her to actually see the moon. She calls it her "real space explorer" and brings it outside every evening.

The focus knob is chunky enough for little hands to turn on their own, and it's a real working scope, not a toy. My kid dragged it to the window every evening this week just to stare at the moon.
