My kids finally stopped arguing over whose turn it is — the two-player setup is perfect for sibling games. The diagonal move rule forced them to think ahead several moves, and they were completely hooked for over an hour.

The mandatory-capture rule is such a clever mechanic for teaching kids to think ahead, and my son and I have played at least ten games since it arrived. It’s simple enough for a six-year-old to grasp quickly, but the diagonal moves keep it challenging for me too.

The diagonal move rule clicked for my nephew after a few rounds, and the mandatory capture mechanic keeps games from dragging on forever. It’s a solid entry-level strategy game, though the pieces feel a bit light for the price.
