Cam Jansen Books - Set of 8

The foreshadowing clues in each story are a great way to keep kids guessing without getting frustrated, and the satisfying endings make them want to start the next book right away. My son flew through all eight in just over a week, which says a lot for a reluctant reader.

My daughter usually gives up on chapter books halfway through, but the foreshadowing clues in these kept her guessing and she actually finished all eight on her own. The satisfying endings made her want to grab the next one immediately.

My third grader flew through these—the way each book plants simple clues early on and then wraps up in a satisfying ending kept her guessing without getting frustrated. Perfect stepping stone from picture books to longer chapters.
