The birch handles are surprisingly smooth for a kids' piece, and the laminated doors wipe clean in one pass after a juice spill. My daughter rearranges the whole thing daily and the hinges still feel solid.

The solid birch handles feel really nice and sturdy, not like the flimsy plastic ones on other play kitchens I've seen. My daughter loves that the white doors actually open and close smoothly like a real fridge.

The white-laminated doors match the clean look in the photos perfectly, though I wish it came with a few more shelves inside for storing accessories. The solid birch handles are sturdy enough for daily use, and assembly took me about twenty minutes with a screwdriver.
