Animal Rubbing Plates - Set of 6

The texture on the turtle plate is perfect for pressing into clay—even my 3-year-old can handle it without help. The set’s variety keeps her busy trying different animal patterns, and cleanup is a breeze since the plates are smooth to wash.

The lion plate’s ridges are deep enough that the clay impression actually looks like a mane. My kindergartner spent a full 20 minutes pressing leaves into the design before painting.

My 3-year-old grabbed the turtle plate first and pressed it into her play-dough, and the bumpy texture held up way better than I expected for the price. It's a simple way to sneak in some fine motor practice while she learns animal names, and clean-up is quick since the plates are just plastic.
