Gears! Gears! Gears!(R) Moving Monkeys™

My three-year-old nephew figured out how to crank the handle to make the monkey spin, and the gears click together satisfyingly. The pieces are sturdy enough for his rough handling so far.

We’ve had this set for two weeks now and my son keeps coming back to build new ways for the monkeys to spin and twist. The plastic gears click together easily, and it’s sturdy enough for his rough play.

My 4-year-old absolutely loves connecting the gears so the monkeys spin through the trees—the crank makes it easy for little hands to turn. We’ve built about five different configurations already.
